AUVSI Competition

The team's primary objective each year is to win the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) competition. Teams from across the world come to compete at the annual event, which takes place each summer at the TRANSDEC Facility in San Diego, California. For the competition, each vehicle must demonstrate its autonomy by completing various tasks while remaining completely underwater. This year, the event features Casino TRANSDEC. Vehicles will be expected to pass through a validation gate, follow colored paths, release buoys, drop markers into appropriate bins, travel through a duct, and detect an acoustic pinger before re-surfacing.
